Cute kid

Ok. I am going to be that mother. I am going to enter my child in a cute kid contest. You have to do it at least once, especially when you really do have the cutest kid in the world. So I thought I would get your opinion on which picture to use (on account that he is the cutest kid in the world it is hard to pick).

Thanks for the help. Special thanks to Auntie Ruth for all the cute baby GAP clothes!

Fall is here.

In celebration of fall the ladies of my family got to go to our good friend Susan's house and spend the day on her farm eating yummy food, talking, and painting pumpkins. It was a perfect day and a perfect time. She supplied cute little pumpkins for us to paint. The kids got to go see the donkey down the road. We of course had a little photo shoot. Overall it was a fabulous day! Thanks Susan for inviting us and being the hostess with the mostess!

Eryn enjoying one of the yummy cupcakes.

Jenna hard at work.

All of our pretty pumpkins.

Different angle. Painting pumpkins was mom's idea. her pumpkin is the cream and white one in the middle. So cute!

The kids painted too.

Susan's beautiful house!

Eryn LOVED the donkey.

Hiking with the ladies

So last month I got to go have girl time with two of my friends Liz and Jenna. Well Jenna is a friend by force, but still a best friend. We decided since it was a really nice weekend to do something outside enjoying nature. I think that all three of us would like to think of ourselves as nature lovers when in actuality non of us spend very much time IN nature (I will give credit where credit is due, Liz spends a lot of time at Stn. Mtn. running), but I guess you don't have to be in it to love it. Let me tell you, We had so much fun! It was a perfect day weather wise. We laughed, talked, made silly videos, soaked in all of God's glorious creation, ate decent food, and just enjoyed each others company. We went to Amicalola Falls. They said it was a mile hike, but I would bet almost anything that it was over 2. Either way it was all up hill and intense. Even Liz got a work out or at least she said she did. After hiking for approximately 2 hours (I know you are thinking even if it was 2 mile it shouldn't take that long! We took lots of breaks for video making) we got to the top, took a couple pictures, and headed down the 650 stairs. It doesn't sound like that many, but it was a lot of freakin stairs. Jenna kept repeating as we were going down "Thank God we didn't come up this way" and we both agreed! After that we were all pretty delirious the rest of the day. It was a fabulous day and I recommend getting out in nature whenever you can!

Sweet Friends

Judah has only been alive 9 months, but he is already following in his mothers footsteps as far as friend are concerned! Here are some of his BFF's and some of ours too:-)

This is Judah's very first friend that he hung out with, Carson. Dang they are so cute. Obviously we cared about them hanging out a little more than they did:-)

Now now they look like they not only don't care, but are almost a little annoyed at us!

The look a little happier this time.

This was the last time they hung out. It is crazy how big they have gotten so fast!

This is another one of Judah's friends, Nolan, that he met soon after he was born. Obviously he is a little bit older, but in a couple years that won't matter. Besides that Nolan is the sweetest, gentlest child you have ever met and I am sure Judah will be bossing him around in no time!

This was Davey's idea to pretend Judah was riding Nolan.

This is Garebear AKA Garrison. Judah and he didn't get the pleaseur of meeting until Judah was 3 months old because that is when Garrison arrived. He is not only a friend, but a cousin and neighbor. All that to say that they will be friends whether they like it or not!

You will definitely be seeing lots of pictures of these two!

This is another cousin, neighbor, and forever friend. Eryn LOVES Judah. I am not sure if she realizes that he is not that much younger than her, because she thinks that she is his mother!

The explosion.

I know (especially if you don't have kids, but even if you do) how annoying it when parents tell you about their kids poop. It is gross. I don't care about my own kids why would I care about yours? all that to say I have to tell you about last night, because I found it very amusing. Dave, Judah, and I were out running errands and spending time together before Dave left for NC. As were driving around I keep smelling this awful odor. So every few minutes I was like "Dave did you fart?" and Dave said "no" Because of Dave's track record and because it just smelled so gross and manly I didn't really believe him. Until from the back seat I started hearing this little grunting noise. Well I had to run into Kroger so Dave went to go get us are very nutritional dinner of little Caesers. He didn't end up going because he said it was so bad he couldn't take Judah out of the seat. It was everywhere. Being the great parents we are we of course didn't bring wipes or diapers. We found a diaper in the trunk and I ran into CVS to buy wipes. As I was going in I told Dave "You get started I will be out really fast". That didn't really happen. When I finally got out after racing around the store, Dave had a look on his face somewhere between "I am about to puke" and "I think I want to cry". When he took the diaper off the crap went flying everywhere. on the seat, on the car seat, on his clothes, on the ground, on Dave. When it was all said and done and we got back in the car I had poop on my toe. I wasn't even there when it went everywhere! Thankfully we got it all cleaned up (really thanks to Dave), nobody puked, and we learned some valuable lessons. 1) Target off brand diapers cannot hold that much 2) don't go anywhere without at least diapers and wipes 3)don't start changing the diaper until you have the wipes in hand 4)baby poop can smell worse than man poop. PS Judah was oblivious the entire time.

Blueberries!!!

If any of you peeps know Dave then you know that his favorite thing in the whole world (besides Judah and I) are blueberries. He says he wants to open a restaurant and have a dish called blueberry bonanza that is blueberry pancakes, with blueberries on top, and of course blueberry syrup. Enough said. I think the only thing that would make it better if I served it dressed as a giant blueberry. So anyways because of his huge love of blueberries we of course had to go pick blueberries. One of our first family outing and it was LOADS of fun!

Not sure if Judah had as much fun as us!

It will definitely be a tradition if Dave will let us go again I think we slowed him down!

Sweet Friends 2

You got to meet some of Judah's buddies now for some just random friends pictures over the past year...

We are very blessed with lots of amazing friends and family!
