Hiking with the ladies

So last month I got to go have girl time with two of my friends Liz and Jenna. Well Jenna is a friend by force, but still a best friend. We decided since it was a really nice weekend to do something outside enjoying nature. I think that all three of us would like to think of ourselves as nature lovers when in actuality non of us spend very much time IN nature (I will give credit where credit is due, Liz spends a lot of time at Stn. Mtn. running), but I guess you don't have to be in it to love it. Let me tell you, We had so much fun! It was a perfect day weather wise. We laughed, talked, made silly videos, soaked in all of God's glorious creation, ate decent food, and just enjoyed each others company. We went to Amicalola Falls. They said it was a mile hike, but I would bet almost anything that it was over 2. Either way it was all up hill and intense. Even Liz got a work out or at least she said she did. After hiking for approximately 2 hours (I know you are thinking even if it was 2 mile it shouldn't take that long! We took lots of breaks for video making) we got to the top, took a couple pictures, and headed down the 650 stairs. It doesn't sound like that many, but it was a lot of freakin stairs. Jenna kept repeating as we were going down "Thank God we didn't come up this way" and we both agreed! After that we were all pretty delirious the rest of the day. It was a fabulous day and I recommend getting out in nature whenever you can!

Sweet Friends

Judah has only been alive 9 months, but he is already following in his mothers footsteps as far as friend are concerned! Here are some of his BFF's and some of ours too:-)

This is Judah's very first friend that he hung out with, Carson. Dang they are so cute. Obviously we cared about them hanging out a little more than they did:-)

Now now they look like they not only don't care, but are almost a little annoyed at us!

The look a little happier this time.

This was the last time they hung out. It is crazy how big they have gotten so fast!

This is another one of Judah's friends, Nolan, that he met soon after he was born. Obviously he is a little bit older, but in a couple years that won't matter. Besides that Nolan is the sweetest, gentlest child you have ever met and I am sure Judah will be bossing him around in no time!

This was Davey's idea to pretend Judah was riding Nolan.

This is Garebear AKA Garrison. Judah and he didn't get the pleaseur of meeting until Judah was 3 months old because that is when Garrison arrived. He is not only a friend, but a cousin and neighbor. All that to say that they will be friends whether they like it or not!

You will definitely be seeing lots of pictures of these two!

This is another cousin, neighbor, and forever friend. Eryn LOVES Judah. I am not sure if she realizes that he is not that much younger than her, because she thinks that she is his mother!

The explosion.

I know (especially if you don't have kids, but even if you do) how annoying it when parents tell you about their kids poop. It is gross. I don't care about my own kids why would I care about yours? all that to say I have to tell you about last night, because I found it very amusing. Dave, Judah, and I were out running errands and spending time together before Dave left for NC. As were driving around I keep smelling this awful odor. So every few minutes I was like "Dave did you fart?" and Dave said "no" Because of Dave's track record and because it just smelled so gross and manly I didn't really believe him. Until from the back seat I started hearing this little grunting noise. Well I had to run into Kroger so Dave went to go get us are very nutritional dinner of little Caesers. He didn't end up going because he said it was so bad he couldn't take Judah out of the seat. It was everywhere. Being the great parents we are we of course didn't bring wipes or diapers. We found a diaper in the trunk and I ran into CVS to buy wipes. As I was going in I told Dave "You get started I will be out really fast". That didn't really happen. When I finally got out after racing around the store, Dave had a look on his face somewhere between "I am about to puke" and "I think I want to cry". When he took the diaper off the crap went flying everywhere. on the seat, on the car seat, on his clothes, on the ground, on Dave. When it was all said and done and we got back in the car I had poop on my toe. I wasn't even there when it went everywhere! Thankfully we got it all cleaned up (really thanks to Dave), nobody puked, and we learned some valuable lessons. 1) Target off brand diapers cannot hold that much 2) don't go anywhere without at least diapers and wipes 3)don't start changing the diaper until you have the wipes in hand 4)baby poop can smell worse than man poop. PS Judah was oblivious the entire time.

Blueberries!!!

If any of you peeps know Dave then you know that his favorite thing in the whole world (besides Judah and I) are blueberries. He says he wants to open a restaurant and have a dish called blueberry bonanza that is blueberry pancakes, with blueberries on top, and of course blueberry syrup. Enough said. I think the only thing that would make it better if I served it dressed as a giant blueberry. So anyways because of his huge love of blueberries we of course had to go pick blueberries. One of our first family outing and it was LOADS of fun!

Not sure if Judah had as much fun as us!

It will definitely be a tradition if Dave will let us go again I think we slowed him down!

Sweet Friends 2

You got to meet some of Judah's buddies now for some just random friends pictures over the past year...

We are very blessed with lots of amazing friends and family!

Happy Birfday!!!

Unfortunately I am still bad about always taking my camera, but I did get some of the birthdays this year. 3 out of like 30 isn't too bad:-)

First was my beautiful sister Jenna. Her birthday was very special this year. She turned 30!!! She is someone to be admired and I do very much! I have yet to find something she is not talented in. She is artistic, musical, funny, smart, a fantastic cook, an amazing mom, daughter, aunt, a superb sister and a fabulous friend.

Because it was a special birthday for a special person we had to have an all weekend event with not one, but two parties.

It wouldn't be Jenna's birthday without driving around in the country, listening to country music, and of course horseback riding. The horse back riding was definitely an adventure, but some of us had more fun than others. It was rainy and hilly which made it very slippery. I had a small voice in front of me saying "oh god, oh god, oh god". Poor Liz prayed literally the whole time. But she was a real trooper and stuck it out even thought she wasn't having that much fun. She is a true friend. I will admit I prayed a lot of the time too, mine were just silent!

We had to have two cakes to fit all those darn candles!

We stayed at a cabin for the first part of the weekend. This was our special friend that kept popping up.

To end the weekend we had a surprise party on my mother's beautiful porch which involved food, fun, fellowship and of course tissue balls:-)

Amy and Micah flew in just for Jenna's birthday.

This is one of the guest that was not invited but showed up anyway.

The next birthday was this precious princess. Sweet Eryn turned two! She has become quite the little mom to Judah. She is constantly telling him everything she knows and correcting him at every turn even though he barely pays her any attention!

One of Eryn's favorite things are buckles so I made her doll that buckles on it. Jenna named it dot. I think it entertained her for a few minutes.

I don't think she was sure what to think of it.

These were here cute shoes that either my mom or Keighley got her.

Our little princess on her special day.

Next came Liz's birthday. This is the only photo I had, but we had a great day of strawberry picking and swimming. Liz is yet another person who I admire very much. She is talented in many ways and wise beyond her years. She is who I go to when I need a listening ear or advice for anything. I love her very much. She is the best BFF anyone could ask for.

Last but not least was our little sunshine Bella. Karis had a fourth of July party for her and it was fabulous. She out did herself in every area. The food and decoration were AMazing!

It's not a party until there is dancing!

All the adorable decorations.

Sweet sisters

The fam left at mom and dads.

All the family minus Micah, Tyler, and Cole.
We had loads of fun and thanks again to Karis for all she did!
