Summer bedding

I like to change my bedspead a couple times a year, but of course cannot afford it. I was very excited when Jenna told me this store had all their fabric on sale for $1 to $2 a yard! Got some cute stuff and mom helped me put together a blanket. I apologize for the bad lighting.

Before

After

and it is reversible for when I get bored.

Undecided about this side, but if I add some yellow pillows I think I could handle it.
It was fun to do a little sewing. Thanks Mom!

Before and after.

Before the haircut

After the haircut

He is cute either way, but I prefer the crazy hair.
Maybe not so much in the second picture.

Went to the river...

Dave and I had a day off during the week at the same time! Amazing. We decided to have some quality time just us and little man. This is what our day consisted of.

Some hiking...

Peek a boo!

some rock throwing...

some swimming...

while holding on for dear life.

Some jumping off cliffs...

For the strong, brave man that is.

some more rock throwing...

some kisses...

Some drinking of river water...

Some feeding and chasing of ducklings...

feeding by me

chasing by Dave

Last but not least
some more throwing of rocks
That is pretty much what Judah did the whole time.
We were worn out by the end
I realized just how out of shape I am by the end of the
uphill hike back.
At one point I told Dave to go on without me because I was about to
die of a heart attack anyway.

Spunky Lady

Someone else very special had a birthday this week. My sister Keighley. Keighley and I growing up didn't always get along. We had several knock down drag out fights, sadly a couple where when I was in my 20's, but are relationship has changed a lot over the past few years. We have so much fun together now. We also have boys that are very close in age and will be growing up BFF's whether they like it or not:)

Keighley~
you are beautiful,
funny, and very lovable.
You are a fashion diva (I hate to admit it but I think even more than me)
You are driven, focused, and stubborn in a good way:)
You have become very laid back and sweet!
You are an awesome mama, a wonderful Daughter,
and a fabulous friend and sister!
I have watched you over the past 6 months support your husband
and take care of most stuff on your own which takes
courage and strength way beyond most people your age
including myself!
You are insanely strong, physically and emotionally!
I will always cherish you and all the fun times we have together.
I love you!

Beautiful lady

Well time just keeps on going. too fast. The reason I know that is because my BFF is turning 30!!! A lot of people in my life turned 30 this year (Thankfully being the spring chicken I am, I still have a few years:) Any of you that know Liz (which most of you do) know what an amazing person she is. There is no way to write in words her incredibleness but I will try. She is there to make you laugh when you are down. She listens to me whine and complain without complaint. She ALWAYS has great advice and knows when to give it and when to just listen. She makes you feel like the funniest person alive by crying to the point of tears at everything. She is talented in a million ways... cooking, drawing, painting, singing, ect... She is wise beyond her years but doesn't seem to realize it. She is a woman of faith that other women strive to be like. and don't even get me started about the way she looks. She is Gorgeous!!! You are amazing and I don't know how I would have made it the past 14 years without you a phone call away.

and though I will miss you tremendously while you are gone
far far away in Fort Lauderdale
I am so excited for you and Josh and the many adventures you will have.
expect many phone calls
at least one a day at 10 am
and many visits
come home soon
and have lots of babies.
I love you pookie!

Litte Man

Little man is growing so stinking fast! The past couple of weeks he hast started talking even more than the absurd amount that he already did. He come by it naturally:) He is saying lots of words even though many people cannot understand. die is bye, ah di is thank you or all done, mamen is amen, leelee is Keighley. la is liz, gosh is Josh, ey is key (his new fav), nah nah is Jenna, peese is please, otsi is outside, nino is noni (my mom), liley rylie, ello is hello pretty much anything you say he will try. Some of the words he does say correctly are bubbles, ball, daddy, mommy, bite, addy (our dog), mimi, hi, where's daddy?, where'd it go? and tons more (sorry if that was overload trying to keep track for myself more than anything:)

I am thinking about cutting his hair (I have done it once already, but for some reason it is way harder this time). He has some really cute curls and it is hard to think of them being gone.

pros- He won't be so hot, my family will be happy, don't have to wash as much (that doesn't really count because I hardly wash it as it is), He will look more like a boy than a girl. That is about it.

Con- It is so cute!!! It fits our personalities to have a wild headed kid, he is going to look older (wahhhh).

Anyways if you would like to voice your opinion that would be great. Though since I birthed him I will be making the final decision:) Karis and I took a little photo shoot just in case I decide to cut it this week. Not as curly as normal.

Learning to walk down the stairs alone.

WHO is this little boy? When did that happen?

This is Judah leaning on the tree that my placenta is under.
Yes, I am serious. Yes, it is gross. and No, it was not my idea.
I think maybe we should have picked a bigger tree than a Japanese maple.

He loves his thumb. Maybe he is still my little baby.

No words.

This is the speed at which he goes, all the time.

We have gotten our money's worth out of these as you can tell.

Judah can be very serious, so I love when I capture this.

"Can't life just be like this all the time?" me
"how long do I have to be still?" Judah
